Paris – Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) has selected Nyco Grease GN 148, a multipurpose synthetic grease, for use on the Air France fleet of Boeing and Airbus aircraft, including Boeing 747, 777, Airbus A380, A340, A330, and A320 family.
“NYCO has been providing AFI KLM E&M with technical expertise in lubricants via a long-standing partnership. We are pleased to have worked together to broaden the spectrum of applications of this grease and consequently helped Air France to rationalize its grease consumption,” said Guillaume Forestier, director of NYCO Aeronautics division.
Air France is the first operator to generalize the use of Nyco Grease GN 148 as multipurpose grease on a mixed fleet; thus rationalizing the number of lubricants used on its large fleet and simplifying maintenance tasks.
Approved against demanding specifications including BMS 3-33 B, AIMS 09-06-002, MIL-PRF-23827 C, and SAE AMS 3052, Nyco Grease GN 148 can be used on all commercial airframes in 90% of aircraft maintenance tasks requiring lubrication, including: actuators; doors; flaps; slaps; ball, roller, or needle bearings; gears; and tail horizontal stabilizer (THS).
