CBN, PCD tipped inserts
Fort Wayne, Indiana – Kaiser Tool Co.'s Thinbit line is offering cubic boron nitride (CBN) and polycrystalline diamond (PCD) tipped inserts for grooving, turning, face grooving, threading, boring, parting, form tools, and custom geometries.
CBN Tipped Inserts provide an increased production rate, improved surface finish, and dimensional control when used on high-temperature alloys such as Inconel, nickel base alloys, and materials with a hardness of Rockwell C-35 or harder.
PCD Tipped inserts provide an increased production rate, improved surface finish, and dimensional control when used on non-ferrous and abrasive metal such as aluminum, brass, and copper.
Inserts fit L-series toolholders and can be used in conventional, Swiss, and CNC machines. Toolholders available in square shank sizes 5/16" to 1-1/4" and round shank sizes 1/2" to 1" with straight and 90° presentations.
